4 tips to learn history dates effectively
History, as we know is one subject among 3 other subjects of Social Studies. It is one of the rare subjects that is hard and interesting at the same time. One of the main things that makes it difficult is the dates to remember. Sometimes even the smartest student finds it difficult to remember all these dates in order. So today I am sharing some techniques that you can use for dates in history
Using sticky notes or pieces of paper
One of the best ways by which we can memorize something is by being reminded about it, in that way it stays in our mind. Sticky notes or little pieces of paper (you can choose yours) can be used for this purpose. Most people suggest writing the information to be memorized in them and sticking them on the walls of your study room so that you will see it often. But I suggest sticking it on your study tables, pens, erasers, pencil box, etc, as these are the things you regularly use quite often, and there is a high chance you will remember the information. But on the other hand, if you are sticking it on walls, there is a high chance that you won't look there quite often and you may forget!
Remember as a story
Most students tend to just memorize everything without understanding anything. It is one of the worst ways to learn history and its dates! Always first try to understand the lesson thoroughly as a story. After that, you can proceed to by heart a few keywords and dates. When you know the correct order, you can use your common sense also in answering questions.
Practice well
Never think that, after reading the textbook 2 or 3 times, you can remember the dates! Always write all of them in order on a piece of paper or in your notebook and practice them well after reading the textbook. Always practice for a long time if you are struggling to remember. Devoting a certain amount of time can perform magic.
Be motivated
Being motivated is important when it comes to learning anything. Because only with that we will feel like practicing. Don't forget that working hard is the key to success. Remember that you are studying to reach your goals🌌 . Just because it is difficult for everyone, you shouldn't let that be difficult for you also! You should take it seriously and work hard to learn them.
